Lawrence is a Silicon Valley technologist who co-founded the contact center company Quintus, later acquired by Avaya in 2001 becoming Avaya Interaction Center. Lawrence was marketing director at Avaya for twelve years and has worked broadly across unified communications, collaboration, contact center, customer analytics, CRM, voice, video, and WebRTC software technologies. Lawrence has a B.A.in Philosophy from Durham University, England, was a research associate at the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Edinburgh, and helped implement the first commercial logic-based Prolog IDE in the AI “non-market” of the 1980s.
