Testbed Use Case 3: Emergency Services and Big Data
II-05
Dell
Smart Data can enhance and improve the service provided by emergency service vehicles such as ambulances. Consider the scenario where an emergency service vehicle is dispatched to an incident. The response time is critical. What if the real-time GPS data generated by the emergency service vehicle can be combined with other real-time data from diverse sources such as: current traffic levels for all routes to the incident, location of roadwork, diversions and road closures. By combining and analyzing these diverse raw datasets in real-time in order to provide valuable and intelligent route planning and insights for the emergency service vehicle, response times will improve, leading to better life enhancing outcome.

Testbed Use Case 2: How Industrial IoT Solutions and Services Unlock New Value for People, Assets, and Operations
II-04
Schneider Electric
Embedded connectivity and intelligence is enabling pervasive sensing in industrial environments, resulting in more and more asset, environmental and operational data being generated in real time. However, that data is only useful if translated into actionable intelligence and better business decisions. This presentation will demonstrate just how the acceleration of Industrial IoT, combined with mobility and the cloud, is enabling businesses to deliver new and innovative IoT solutions and services today. You’ll see how real-world IoT applications are unlocking efficiency and sustainability for people, assets, and operations in buildings, utilities, smart grids, industrial processes, and even in the underlying data center infrastructure required for computing at the industrial edge. Finally you’ll discover the critical necessity for an open platform and architecture that allows for delivery of Industrial IoT solutions at scale.

Testbed Use Case 4: IoT Platforms for the Factory Floor
II-07
GE Digital
For nearly a century, machine automation has been primarily a stayed on the factory floor. However, the goals of just in time manufacturing and rapid product development point to an increasing need for a feedback loop between production and product management. There is a growing expectation for overall optimization that uses data related to manufacturing in the increasingly global supply chain to connect the front lines of manufacturing with management, suppliers, and customers. How is information from production benefiting operators and how does that information improve procedures that impact suppliers?
